District Officials confirm ban on the sale and use of Shisha in Pattaya

On Friday Night a letter was circulated amongst bar owners in Pattaya from the Banglamung District Licensing Unit which confirms an immediate ban on the sale and use of Shisha in entertainment venues.
The Letter, marked “Urgent”, was dated 29th May but was only distributed on Friday and stated that Banglamung District Officials will now be enforcing the ban on the sale and use of Shisha.
The letter states that any bar owner caught selling Shisha can receive a prison term of up to 5 years and/or a fine of up to 500,000 Baht and any bar owner deemed responsible for a death or other serious incident related to the sale and use of Shisha in their establishment can receive a prison term of up to 10 years and/or a fine of up to 1 Million Baht.
At the end of the Letter the Chief of Banglamung District warns that any Police Officers who offer to protect bar owners who sell Shisha in exchange for money, must be reported to the Licensing Unit as their protection offer is illegal and will not be of any use to the bar owner.
Hundreds of bars and nightclubs around Pattaya sell Shisha and thousands smoke the Shisha Tobacco every day in Pattaya, however this ban and the accompanying letter is expected to dramatically reduce the use of Shisha in Pattaya but some venues are expected to continue selling it despite this stern warning from the authorities.

In the early hours of Thursday Banglamung District Officers conducted a raid on an outdoor bar complex in Central Pattaya where it was reported that unlicensed Shisha was being sold to customers.
Officers stormed the location and detained the owner of the bar complex in Soi Sukhumvit 51, Khun Bualuang. A search of the area, including a storeroom took place where a total of 9kgs of Shisha was found along with smoking pipes.
A 9mm handgun with 100 bullets was also found and this discovery was handed over to Nongprue Police for further investigations.
The District Bailiff, who led the raid, informed us that he will make a report of his findings to the Governor of Chonburi Province, with the recommendation the venue is closed for a period of 30 days as punishment.

si ils vont réellement faire du nettoyage avec les shishas , ça risque de faire mal .
ils veulent aussi viré tout les arabes de pattaya???

perso j'y crois pas. De mémoire il y a eu la même annonce il y a 1 an ou 2.
et c 'est toujours la même chose. Il n'y aura peut etre plus de shisha pendant quelques temps et ensuite ca va revenir à la normal.
Elle vont faire quoi les yins de la soi 6 pour passer le temps ??

Ca dure pas plus d'une semaine en général, wait and see..

si ca peux les aider a un peu bouger le cul a ces feignasses on va pas s'en plaindre.....
c'est un mal pour un bien
